Soheil Salimzadeh is an award-winning Iranian composer specializing in Classical ,Orchestral Film and Game Music. His credits include composing "Tabarestan Rhapsody".
His skill at composing intricate melodies and Arranging in a variety of genres is well known.
He is a Persian/Gypsy/Azerbaijani/Armenian style violin player, Composer, Music Arranger, Music Producer and Violin Teacher.
Soheil was interested in music from a young age, especially the compositions of Sadegh Nojouki. He started learning the guitar at the age of 13 and switched to the violin two years later. His interest in composing music began at the age of 16 and he composed his first piece. Despite studying mechanical engineering in university, he continued to develop his musical education through self-study, participating in Shahrdad Rohani's conducting masterclasses and Ahmad Pejman's orchestration workshop, and taking an online course, "Introduction to Classical Music," (with Prof. Craig Wright from Yale University) "Intimacy of Creativity: Entering the Minds of Composers" (The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology), "Write Like Mozart: An Introduction to Classical Music Composition" (National University of Singapore). Soheil made his live performance debut at the age of 18 as a soloist playing an Armenian piece composed by Samvel Yervinyan. He has since performed as a solo violinist and as a member of orchestras, including his performance as a soloist with the Alnam Orchestra in Vahdat Hall, playing his own arrangement of the Azerbaijani folk song "Sari Gelin." In 2018, he founded the Novano Orchestra and has recorded many pieces with the ensemble. In 2016, Soheil released his first album "Sari Gelin," an album of Azerbaijani folk pieces arranged for chamber orchestra and collaborated with musicians Ramiz Guliev, Etibar Qasimbaily, and Vahid Asadollahi. The album won an Akademia Award in the folk music genre in 2021. His second album, "The Last Knight," features arrangements of Celtic folk songs for violin and chamber orchestra. In addition to his albums, Soheil has also released several single tracks of original compositions and arrangements. Soheil's music style is based on orchestral music, influenced by Nicolai Rimsky Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Hans Zimmer, and Azerbaijani composer Fikret Amirov. In his piano compositions, he is influenced by Vagif Mustafa Zadeh and Aziza Mustafa Zade. His composition "Tabarastan Rhapsody," based on folk music from Iran's northern region, won the classical music prize at the Re-Create Festival in South Korea in 2021. In the autumn of 2021, his composition "Memories of a Psycho" won the Djooky Award in the Classical genre.
